"Angel" investors are people who help businesses at startup through investing in them. They normally provide startup costs, etc., and invest in the business to get it up and running.
The term "angel" comes from the practice in the early 1900's of wealthy businessmen investing in Broadway productions. Today "angels" typically offer expertise, experience and contacts in addition to money. ("Angel Investors")

Angel investors are third party lenders that may give you money for free for your business venture. They're similar to venture capitialist but only lend money in the rang of 50,000 up to 100- 200,000 dollars. Angels look for the people that needs money less than 300,000. The book "investors in the back yard" is a good book. The book "Raising Capitial" is a great book as well.
